As of Jan. 1, 1995 a Loss Control Plan was instituted to emphasize the need for safety and hazardous chemical awareness. This plan is to assist in procedures to follow in the event of injury or accident. Our purpose is to prevent such incidents, but we also realize that people cannot always control a given situation.
Engineered Foundation Systems, Inc. maintains strict adherence to OSHA safety and health standards for the construction industry (29CFR Part 1926) and will not tolerate any deviation from the safety policy we have adopted.
SUPERVISION:
Supervisors will assist in identifying and correcting workplace hazards and improper work procedures, training and motivating employees to ensure that established work practices are followed.
The Employee:
Employees notify supervisors immediately if they observe any unsafe work procedure if they feel the need for further training in their position. Training is a necessity for safety production on the job site.
If employees are injured on the job, (includes a "near miss") they notify a supervisor immediately to correct or remedy the situation that caused the injury, and file an injury report.
- Maintain a "clean" working area.
- Hard hats will be worn on all projects while working under scaffolding.
- Protective equipment/clothing will be worn when required (Absolutely no tennis shoes!).
- While operating any type of motor vehicle, including site equipment, observe all safety precautions.
- Always observe the "Zone of Safety". Observe all posted notices.

- NOTE: E.F.S. maintains a strict Zero tolerance policy on use of drugs or alcohol while in our employ. We maintain the right to require a testing if we believe you could be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
